Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Anyway we can help our friend out of probation violation?

Our friend was arrested yesterday for violating his probation. He served his time and is under probation. His conviction was a sex offense involving someone under 14. I am not able to provide more detailed information since i am not inimately aware of the incident. I met up with him for dinner with my gf and our 1 year old son and 2 other adult males. Apparently one of the other males at our dinner took pictures of our friend and our son and gave it to this friend. These pictures were found during a search at our friend's apartment and he has been returned to jail. Considering the child's parents were at the event; that there were other friends present; that it was a public restaurant where other people were eating and therefore he was not at any time alone with the child, is there anything we can do or information we can provide to aid his situation?

Yes. You can explain the circumstances to the Court. On the other hand I am certain that one of the terms of his "probation" or parole is that he not have contact with minor children. An exception might be relatives when parents are present. Someone needs to contact the DA with this info.

He needs a criminal defense attorney. If he or you are willing to do so, feel free to contact me for the help he needs, if the case is in SoCal courts.
