Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Can I ever own a gun/ CCW permit?
Hi,
When I was 17 I got involved in something I shouldn't have and ended up with a 2nd degree robbery conviction. The DA gave me a chance because I had no priors and was a pretty good kid (until the robbery at least) Since then I've had my record sealed and completed probation but I'm wondering if it will bar me from ever owning a gun or getting a concealed carry permit. FYI I'm 20 now.
Thanks

Under most conditions, yes you are barred. IF you could get the court to issue an order of rehabilitation, then it might be possible. If you are willing to spend the time and money on that attempt, contact me to discuss.
