I can't imagine anything good. You should get the advice of a qualified criminal defense attorney before you do anything else. I wish you the best..David Wallin

You'd be admitting to a crime. Filing a false police report is a misdemeanor at best (Penal Code section 148.5) and could be a felony if you signed anything under penalty of perjury (Penal Code 118) or did it for insurance fraud reasons (Penal Code 550, among others).

It sounds as though you're in a mess - before doing anything, you should sit down face to face and discuss things with a criminal defense attorney.

How about 'perjury' and other criminal charges, case sanctions, jail, fines, etc.?

What can you do? Hire an attorney, and take to heart the advice to exercise the 5th Amendment right to SHUT UP and do NOT talk to anyone except an attorney about the case. That includes on this or any other web site or public forum. Most police and prosecutors will happily tell you that 95% of people convict themselves by trying to be 'helpful and cooperative', either during initial contact, questioning, interview or interrogation. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me.
