Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Hi,
I was arrested in Iowa on a misdeamenor check fraud charge, I got time served and 2 years of probation which was transferred to California because all my family is out here. If I violated probation I was supposed to serve 2 years in jail. I tested dirty and they rejected the probation back to Iowa. I have paid all my restitution and want to see if there is a way to clear everything without having to serve jail time. I can complete any probation or drug testing now because I have been clean and sober for 3 years, and I have been employed by the same company for 3 years in March of this year. Is there a way to not go to jail and still clear my name?
Thank you!
Heather

Post your question to an Iowa attorney. California has nothing to do with the Iowa courts and their rules.
BTW: you don't ever "clear your name". Records are forever. You'd better clear the arrest warrant that is outstanding for you from Iowa.
