Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
House was raided for suspected drugs and everyone in house was already detained but before they began there search the security camera I have above the gate they entered they tore it down and threw it to the floor.is that legal and why would they need to do that.

As tp the camera, whether it is 'legal' is not the issue. What you can do about it is. You can file a damage claim [Govt Tort Claim] for its cost, regardless of what happens in criminal court.
Your criminal attorney may be able to claim the damaged camera somehow affects the conduct and usefulness of the search and any evidence obtained. Talk to him.
