i want to hunt but iam a felon of 16 years ago what can i do?

You can petition the Court where you were convicted to lift the restriction. If you kept your record clean for the last 16 years, and your conviction was not violence/firearms related, you have a shot. Your chances are enhanced if this is going to be handled by an effective lawyer.

Hire an attorney to file a motion to restore your rights. It is not guaranteed to succeed, but if you have been clean since then, it may be possible. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so, as firearm rights are one of my focus areas.
