Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

What can I do? My husband was arrested 11/23/2010 in car. He got a ride because his mother called him to ask him to go to her because someone was trying to take his brothers car.They placed a call to the police but wanted to have my husband go to be there because they were scared. The friend he got a ride from was being followed by undercover officers. They stopped him 2 blocks from his mothers. They arrested my husband, his friend and a female friend of the friend also in the car it was her car. Well I guess they are being charged with robberies and other charges. The owner of the car and my husbands friends bail was set at 1 million each my husbands @ 250,000. He is was assigned a private attorney by the court because the female got a public defender and the other male on parole got state appointed attorney. My husbands lawyer will not talk to my husband or my self. My husband has gone to court 4 times for nothing. His lawyer will not go see him or take his calls.What can I do?

What can you do? Hire a new attorney who will talk to him and defend the charges. Since you are with the alternate public defender panel, ask the court to assign a new attorney.
