husband got drunk after work and drank until in a black out came out of black out when being arrested inside grocery store hiding behind boxes had no knowlege of what had occured got charged with 10851 a cop says he stole two motorcycles husband did not know about it cop ask him where are the bikes he did not know how can he beat this and go into program for alcoholics and get help for problem

I don't know how he can beat this. Maybe you can help him retain an attorney to goto court with him. Certainly they have AA in the jails and prisons

"Beat it"?? Caught in the act sorta prevents 'beating it' through innocence. Hire an experienced attorney and discuss whether he could qualify for any of the diversion programs. That will depend upon his rap sheet, among other things.
