Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

husband

my husband was on parole when we moved tp las vegas 7 years ago, he never reported the move to his parole officer. on friday he was arrested, he has no charges here in nevada. but he had a warrant for violated of parole. clark county has a fugitive hold waiting for extradition back to california. since he's been out of trouble for 7 years is it possible that he may not be extradited back to california, even if they have a hold on him?

Re: husband

Anything is possible, but is seems likely, based upon the facts that you related, that California will extradite.

Mr. Leiderman took the words right out of my keyboard.

You have to understand that your husband has not "been out of trouble for 7 years". He may not have created any new trouble during that time, but he walked away from his old trouble without completing his sentence. As a result, that bit of trouble never went away.

Re: husband

Anything is possible in life. Likely is a different story. Hire good counsel in NV to fight extradition, and consider hiring a CA attorney to try to negotiate a 'deal' with the CA court and DA, using all the facts and character witnesses you can muster. Feel free to contact me if the case is from SoCal and you want to do so.
