husband on parole 1st month, sheriffs came to home found handgun in dresser, arrested on 5/24/12. Went to long beach court,CA on 5/30, but judge could not see him because there was a second charge filed against him at west covina,CA charge with a new felony for weapons, no bail. Seen at West Covina court on 6/1/12 judge set bail $60,000. Two questions-1) was the 72hr rule violated? 2)can these two cases be combined into one court, since cases are related?

Without knowing all the facts, dates, times, etc., I can't tell you if the 72 hour rule was violated on the LB case, when taking into account the no bail warrant from WC. IF it was violated, then he can make legal arguments for dismissal and evidence suppression motions, etc.

If you don't know how to represent yourself effectively against an experienced prosecutor intending to convict, then hire an attorney who does, who will try to get a dismissal, charge reduction, diversion, program, or other decent outcome through plea bargain, or take it to trial if appropriate.

If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help, using whatever defenses there may be.
