You can't. For one thing you would be attempting to practice law without a license. The attorney you retain will be able to help you with this.

Mr. Stone is right. Note also that public defenders are lawyers. Your reference to "a lawyer or public defender" suggests that they aren't. If that's what you believe, you're mistaken.

Wholehearedly agree with my colleagues. Want you want CAN'T BE DONE. An attorney, and only an attorney can address the court regarding bail, unless your husband wants to represent himself, and assuming the court would even allow such a move. I suggest a different approach.....Get an attorney for your husband........ David Wallin

YOU can't. He or his lawyer can appear in court and request bail reduction. If he has high bail, it is because he is charged with serious crimes carrying 'time'. The only advice that is worth anything is for you to get legal counsel who knows how and what to do to best represent him, using whatever credible facts and evidence may be available for motions and defenses at trial, if necessary. Most cases are 'plea bargained' to avoid the risk of loss at trial and the mandatory sentencing to the full term provided in the law upon conviction. The attorney's job is to get a good 'deal' you can live with, or prepare for trial. If serious about hiring counsel to help you in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me.

Zero. And the reasons you have for not wanting to get a lawyer involved can kill your husbands chances. You ARE NEVER better off hiding your secrets from your lawyer. NEVER EVER.
