Re: My husbands case.
As is often the case, it depends on whether you hire him a good criminal defense lawyer right away or whether you abandon him to a public defender who may do very little except sell him a guilty plea. Call me with any questions.
Re: My husbands case.
Chances for probation and no or little jail time should be good if your husband has no prior record. Other biggest factors in his case will be the amount of the alleged theft and the courthouse (who the judge, DA is) where the case is being litigated.
Feel free to call me if you are looking to retain a lawyer in Southern California.

Re: My husbands case.
The amount of bail gives an indication of how serious the case is, meaning how likely substantial jail time could be imposed. Get him an attorney. Feel free to contact me for help if you are serious about getting legal help. Apply for the public defender if you can't afford private counsel.
