Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Identity theft
I pulled my credit report and noticed that there are several things on it that are not mine. I have tried time and time again to dispute these items and the credit bureau says it is my duty to write them and the companies numerous letters and that may not even work. I am so exhausted from trying to clean up this mess. Is there a company out there that deals with identity theft and knows what the proper procedure is to put this behind me.

Re: Identity theft
Theoretically, if you properly request correction of proveably incorrect info, and they fail to do so, there are penalties and remedies under the various credit acts. You may wish to have an attorney review what you have done, and take necessary steps. Contact me if interested.
