Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Is it illegal to have alcohol in you're trunk at 18 years of age?

If you were charged with it, the officer thinks it is a crime, and you need to hire counsel.
If you are asking for an opinion, as long as it is not in the passenger compartment and accessible to you, it probably is OK, but that doesn't mean an officer can't charge you and make you 'win' your point in court with an evidence suppression motion.
If serious about hiring counsel to help in criminal charges now, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be. Ive been doing these cases for many years.
Yes, you are not supposed to be in possession of alcohol if you are below the age of 21. Hiding it in the trunk is still possession.
