First of all, killing yourself is a really mean thing to do to those left behind including your friends and relatives. Second, people who will commit suicide will often also murder (some people plan murder-suicides and don't do the suicide part). So yes, attempting suicide is illegal and may also expose you to prosecution for other crimes. Do me a favor and call the suicide hotline or share your situation with a shrink, bartender, pastor, or someone you trust.
