If you have good reason for why you have failed to appear all these years, there's a good chance that you can get the warrant set aside and fight the case. Consult with an attorney. Do not try to handle this on your own. We have done many of these. In one case, I helped a woman in Florida, who was on felony probation, get a warrant recalled and the case dismissed even though the warrant had been out for several years.

And, your question is?

You have an arrest warrant that must be dealt with, by voluntarily appearing in court and submitting to its jurisdiction, and dealing with the charges, late as it may be.

If you've had no other arrests/convictions, as is likely or you'd have been arrested on the warrant, then your attorney will be able to argue for a reasonable 'deal' and penalties. Or, you could go to trial if that's your goal. Feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need, if the case is in SoCal.
