Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Interstate Detainer

My daughter is incarcerated in Dublin Federal Prison. She has probation/detention orders in two other states. How does she file a request to have cases dismissed or enforced? Is there some sort of form she needs to submit to each of those states?

Re: Interstate Detainer

"Form"? "Dismissed"? Nice try. What grounds do you think she has for dismissal? She needs to hire legal counsel in each of those other states, sometime before she is to be released from Dublin, to present whatever grounds for defense there are. Those attorneys may be able to handle those charges and work out dispositions before she is released here, depending upon what the charges are. Otherwise, she will have to be transported to each state in chains to do so. That may happen anyway, for her to serve whatever sentences are imposed by the other states.
