Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
If someone is in jail with bipolar disorder, and is in jail for doing things while having a severe manic episode, will the jail get them on meds?

Family or friends could contact the jail to advise of that medical condition and need to see a doctor for a prescription. The jail staff would not do so unless the person was exhibiting a serious problem. Plenty of people are in jail with mental disturbances. That is what got them there to start with.
