Consolidation means your husband has multiple cases that will be heard by the same jury at the same time, or there are other people charged with the same offense who will go to trial with your husband.
Why are they raising bail? That's impossible for anyone here to answer. Your husband's attorney is in a much better position to answer this question than a stranger on the Internet who knows nothing about the case.
Nothing anyone here can tell you is of any use to you or your husband, except to instruct him to talk to his attorney, or hire one. Any other answer would be mere speculation. Consolidation would likely mean he is facing additional charges, thus higher bail. If you're serious about hiring him counsel, feel free to contact me.
I agree completely with Mr. Marshall and Mr. Nelson. These are questions you and your husband should be discussing with his attorney. If you have a public defender and they are not talking to you then let the PD's office know and have another attorney appointed.
Good luck,
