Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Can a Judgement be cleared

I am a parent that does not have legal custody but has an obligation for child support and insurance which have been honored since birth. The mother had dental work done on my child 5 years ago without my knowledge. She did not pay the account...since the insurance is in my name the dental office sought compensation through small claims under my name. I never signed a financial responsibility document and never recieved notice as the complete address information was not mine. I have been carrying a judment for 4 years. The judgment was satisified by me upon discovery in an effort to expidite a home purchase. I have this documentation and the documentation of the bounced check issued by my son's mother. We have never been married. Can this judgement be removed from the public record and from my credit report. Current events have made me look at this more closely. Thank You

Re: Can a Judgement be cleared

Yes it is possible that it can be set aside, through a motion to the court. That should then correct your credit history. If you want to discuss the costs and proceedures, contact me.
