Felons are permanently barred from owning or possessing any firearm. IF you were to successfully seek to have the court restore your rights, you then could. Such proceedure is not often granted, but possible with the right facts. Contact me to discuss the facts and fees.

Re: What kind of forearms can ex-felons own?

In California (as in most other states), felons cannot own any type of firearm. Possession of a firearm by a felon is actually a crime in this state.

As for the title of your message, I'm pleased to report that felons are allowed to keep their forearms. Requiring that they be amputated would surely be deemed cruel and unusual punishment.

Re: What kind of forearms can ex-felons own?

California law forbids the possession of any concealable firearm. However, federal law prohibits a felon from the possession of any firearm. In this case the federal law trumps the state law. Carefully research the law before you attempt to obtain a firear to be sure that you do not violate the law.
