Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Landlord threatened to kill me if I returned to my legal residence, which is also his legal residence. That seems conditional, but still criminal. I looked up the penal code, and apparently conditional threats dont qualify as criminal. But, if the condition is something you regularly do, and have a legal right to is that an exception?

Sounds like you are trying to play lawyer with the landlord instead of going to police, filing a complaint and asking for their help with you moving out in 'safety'. No rational person would want to continue staying there, right?
