Notify each of the three credit reporting agencies of the identity theft and have them place your report on lock down, so that nobody can open up new charge accounts or take out loans without verification. Call the police and report the fraud.Sue them in Small Claims Court for the $7000, if you think they have assets to resort to in paying off your judgment when you get it. But the criminal courts will also order restitution if he is convicted. That should do it.
File criminal charges, and file a lawsuit for the damages.
You may do all of the above (this is identity theft) and file a petition in your county court stating that you are a victim of identity theft and to have your liaility for the loan relieved and have it removed from your credit report. Contact me directly.
