Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Is it legal in the state of california for a 14 yr. old male to date a 12 yr. old female? And are there any legal ramifications of such a relationship?

Date? Yes.. Add sex and it becomes punishable as rape.

I agree with Mr. Nelson, though the correct term for what used to be called statutory rape is now "unlawful sexual intercourse". Note that, technically, if the couple has sex both will be guilty of this crime.
