Letters used as Defense in Criminal Case
Can a person who I was webcamming with that lives in another state write a letter to corroborate certain time sequences that are critical to my defense?

They can certainly write a letter but chances are it will not be admissible in any actual court hearing, like Preliminary Hearing or at trial. The letter might help to convince the DA of certain facts in order to resolve the case, but if the case is not resolved, the witness will need to testify live in court. Ask you lawyer.

"Letters" are not admissible evidence. If you want to use their testimony at trial, it has to be in person. Your lawyer should have told you that.

No. Such a letter could not be used in the place of live testimony.
