Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I have lived in WA for 7 years and I have two warrants in CA from 2003 that I need to fix.
One is from a ticket for driving on a suspended license in Palo Alto (suspended for back child support). I was moving to Washington state and they sent the ticket to my old address in San Diego. The fine is now $8,000.
The second is for being under the influence of meth in N. San Diego County. I flunked out of an outpatient drug treatment program because I couldn't stay clean, that's why I left the state. In WA I sucessfully completed a drug treatment program (I still have the certificate) and have been clean since 2003. I had fines when I left and I can't imagine what they are now. I need to find out the least expensive way to fix my problems.
I went to school and got my CDL Class A commercial drivers license but can't get hired because of the ticket in Palo Alto and I'm pretty sure I can't fix the ticket without bringing up all the San Diego stuff. Can somebody out there with a payment plan help me?

'Fixing' a warrant means going to court and submitting to its jurisdiction, getting the warrants withdrawn, and dealing with the charges by motion, plea bargain or trial. Contact lawyers in each of those locales. They can go to court for you on misdemeanor warrants, not on felony warrants where you must be personally present. You face potential jail time and fines on each, so 'fixing' them is going to be painful to you. There is no magic wand to wave and 'fix' them to disappear.
