Possession of marijuana for sales is punishable by 16 months, 2 years or 3 years in state prison. (Health & safety code section 11359)

Sales of marijuana under California state law is punishable by 2, 3 or 4 years in state prison. (Health and safety code section 11360)

I don't know what you mean by "What about for parolees?" It's the same punishment for everyone. There are additional punishment if a person has been to state prison and hasn't remained free from prison custody for 5 years.

The 'law' is that those acts are felonies, subjecting you to prison time if convicted, and probation/parole violation as well that could return you to prison on the original sentence. If you are serious about hiring counsel to defend you, and the case is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me.
