Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I was on low-risk probation in CA for theft. Put in a request to transfer to move to Iowa, moved before the transfer was complete, and within a month and a half in Iowa I was fired from Dental office for Felony prohibited act (forging a prescription for Vicodin) along with posession and paraphernalia. While I am in beginning stages of plea bargaining, should I be worried that CA may extradite me back for violation of probation? And what happens to my charges in Iowa?

You get to deal with your charges in Iowa as would anyone else there, but that DA will likely add 'priors' charges for penalty enhancement.
Plus, if an arrest warrant is issued in CA for probation violation,[I won't attempt to guess if that is going to happen], then when they learn you have that warrant, you are likely to be taken into custody pending extradition.
You clearly should hire an Iowa attorney, and take his advise about dealing with the two states. Depending upon your locale, I may have someone to refer you too if you are serious about a hiring counsel there.
I neglected to mention that if you do have a warrant in CA, you will have to hire counsel to help you. Do so sooner rather than later. If serious about doing so, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be.
