You can rationalize away the law, ethics and morals all you like, but if an 'escort' isn't there for prostitution, the police are going to be hard to convince. Sex for money is going to result in someone's arrest, through a sting operation most likely. If you don't like the prostitution laws, seek to get them changed. Personally, I think they should be discarded in favor of Nevada's rules of 'regulation and health standards', but that's not what's here.

The law is very simple. If there is a quid pro quo exchange of sexual services for money or anything of value - there is a problem. If one does not cross that line, there is no criminal offense. The inquiry will always be based on specific facts. There are situation where the line will be very blurry indeed.

I suppose escorts are always potentially exposed to blackmail or something of the sort. However, in real life this is probably less likely because person who is soliciting sex and then reporting is then exposing himself/herself to criminal charges for solicitation. That said, staying away from personal relationships and entanglements is always a good idea.

The answers you seek are a bit complex for this forum. There is no way anyone could possible conceive of every scenario that could arise. It might be wise to have a law firm on retainer for your service. That way, when questions arise or scenarios are presented, you will have someone to turn to.
