Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Marrieage, Parole and Transfer
My fiance and I are going to marry before he leaves prison next year. I live in a different county then where he is to be paroled. How can we start the process and what's the likelihood that we can get him transfered to my county instead of the other?

Re: Marrieage, Parole and Transfer
They have to parole him to his home county. Do not expect the parole department (or anybody else) to be sympathetic to your situation. I don't know either of you, but 99% of the time prison marriages don't work and I would, at the very least, get to know him or her on the outside first. That is putting it very mildly. Permission to marry is sought by having the inmate file a form 602 with his or her correctional counselor.
