I was wondering if there is a way to mediate felony charges in the state of California.

If by mediation you mean trying to get a plea bargain or negotiate things like, for example, the terms of your surrender or bail, then yes, you can do it. I would advise strongly against doing something like this without a lawyer.

No. You can try to reach a plea bargain, but there is no mediation service to help you do so. Negotiating for a deal on your own is a bad idea; get a lawyer first if you don't have one already.

Mediate?

If you're asking if there is some process of negotiating the outcome of the case against you, yes, it is called plea bargaining. Your attorney does that in order to get the minimum penalty possible for you in a deal with the prosecutor. Once the DA's 'final' offer is made, you can either take it or go to trial at risk.

If you are asking if you can get a previous felony record 'changed' or 'cleared', the answer is, sometimes. The process is expungement, where allowed.

Either way, feel free to contact me if the case is in SoCal courts and you're serious about getting legal help.
