Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I met person online from Australia and had Internet(intimate) relationship with. But he is using that to take control over me every time I've asked him to stop or end things with him. He threatened me to expose me to all my friends and he even exposed himself to my bf then. He is married. I've been asking him to end it with me but he never let me. Every time I tried he would ask to stay friends, be nice, give me gifts (money & things), and he made up fake accounts just so he could follow me around in social networks.
I really want to put a stop to this because he's ruining my life. It has affected my health drastically. And I am about to get into another relationship and have no plans on putting myself in that situation ever again. He is threatening to put me out there and make me miserable by blackmailing me of what proofs he has that we had something.
I've been wanting to write his wife but I'm not going to be like him and involve her. As much as possible I want to deal this on my own since I put used in this mess.
He is accusing me as a user. And is not really happy about me putting a stop to everything. But I've had it with him. He's controlling me, by making me lie to people and have to hide him just so he could be part of my life still. I am very scared and don't know what to do anymore but please I need some help.
Thank you.

File a police report, that is the only advice I can give ... if you want to keep it secret/ private, then you're on your own.
True, once you file a report, it is out of your hands. The authorities may or may not file criminal charges against him.
Yours is a civil issue, I'd re-post in Civil for more opinions.
Good luck!
go contact you local police for help.
