I had methamphetimine hidden in my home a friend of mine was there who was on parole so they searched and found it. I told them it was mine but they charged him with it instead. He pled not guilty and goes back to court on 10-20-2011. at first i was relieved i wasnt charged but i cant let someone else go to prison for something that was mine and they had no knowledge it was even there. how to i go about taking the charge and turning myself in? can they charge us both?

Yes, the prosecutor can and will prosecute you both if you turn yourself in and confess without first negotiating a 'deal' through your attorney. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, feel free to contact me. It MAY be possible to get his charges dropped, but you will then face charges in the trade off.
