Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
hi. i have a misdeamenor charge for tresspassing like 2 yrs ago. i pled guilty and they fined me 500.oo i made a couple payments but stopped paying so i owe like 400.00 still so i got a failure to pay which tured in to a bench warrant i checked and there was a warrant issued but then warrant was recalled and quashed locally. but a couple days ago i was at my house with my 6 yr old daughter and a cop came to my door and told me i have a warrant for that and made me call someone to come get my daughter and took me to jail. why did he do that if the warrant was recalled?
