How long does a misdemeaner stay on your record, and is there anyway to get it removed?

Thank you for your inquiry. A misdemeanor is on your record until removed, for criminal prior purposes.
You can apply for an expungement, and Penal Code �1203.4 allows you to be "relieved of the burdens of conviction", after a minimum of one year.

A misdemeanor may be expunged if the court grants the motion, one year after you complete all probation terms, with no further arrests. Contact me if interested in getting it done.
