Re: misdemeanor arraignment

Any misdemeanor charge is serious, you can be fined, put in jail, and get a criminal record that can keep you from getting a job. If you are, or a loved one is, the defendant, you need to do everything in your power to make sure the defendant retains a lawyer and that the lawyer is hired early enough to ensure the lawyer can be present in court at the arraignment. You can look up the laws you cited at www.leginfo.ca.gov , select California Law and check the box marked Penal Code.

Re: misdemeanor arraignment

They are crimes, embezzlement and grand theft, each punishable by jail or prison time, depending upon how they are charged. If you are facing such charges, I suggest you immediately retain counsel to defend you. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so, if the case is in SoCal.
