Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Having a Misdemeanor Removed from my Record
I am eligible to have a misdemeanor removed from my record in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if I need to have an attorney present when I see the judge. I am also interested in having a stay-away order removed.

2 different issues.
As an attorney, I almost always recommend using counsel in legal procedings other than small claims court.
Getting a restraining order lifted will definitely require counsel, and a strong factual showing to convince the court. Generally, it would take an agreement from the protected party to lift. If you think you can meet that legal hurdle, feel free to contact me for the legal help.
