Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Mr Hoffman and or mr Shapiro the peace officer that cited me out was on the stand when he finished he walked by me and made a remark that was uncalled for. Is this legal, for him to make comments?

It sounds unprofessional, but I offhand don't see anything illegal about it.

It's probably legal unless he threatened your life or threatened great bodily harm. I assure you I have had officers make mean comments to me after testifying at preliminary exams. I just take it as a compliment. There may be a problem if he attempted to create distrust between you and your attorney.
