Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
What does it take
Last night at 2:00 am a knock came across my front door. when i opened it their were 4 cops standing there. One said to me, your under arrest. then their is a 50.000 warrant out against me. my question is now can this happen. I have never been imformed of any court hearings. but a warrant can be issued without me even knowing about it

Evidently you managed to bail out of jail, and I would be surprised if they hadn't told you by now what the charges are. Don't say anything to the police, and hire an attorney to go to court with you. Let me know if I can be of help.

NO, you don't have to be told in advance of a warrant issuance; it would be pretty unwise to give a suspect time and motive to flea. Now that you have been arrested, you also have notice of the charges against you, listed on the paperwork given you by the police. With four officers coming to arrest you in the middle of the night, this isn't about a traffic ticket. I assume you recognize the charges as being related to something you were involved in. If not, that means you must be claiming innocence and have a defense. Hire an experienced attorney to help keep you from being convicted, whatever the charges.
