Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Obstruction of justice

15+ yrs ago I watched my drunk boyfriend be put into the back of a police car. My mistake was to ''help'' him by pulling on the posterior belt of the officer. My offense was obstruction of justice. My concern is that I am trying to become a nurse and they will require criminal background checks be done - I have had this expunged but what more can I do? I am so worried about this - please help.

Well if you have had this expunged then there is nothing more you can do. When you fill out the application for that job of yours be sure to list that offense under the criminal section. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact out law office at 760.243.5121

Thanks and God Bless

Re: Obstruction of justice

Do? Nothing. However, you must still disclose it on your nursing application, by law. Explain it and hope for the best.
