Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Officers persuading me to talk OR charges onDomestic Violence

As my husband was arrested for other reasons he had many scratch markings on his hands, head and face. The Det. handling the case called me and attemted to pursuade me to give him any info. that might incriminate him sucha as he has a bad attitude or etc. When I said no, he insisted that he had pictures of my husband and he would file charges agianst me for domestic violence. My question is can he tell me this? Can he later file charges on me for this even though I admitted it to him over the phone? I'm worried he might or has already? How would I know?

It sounds like you admitted to battery/abuse, and, yes, you could be arrested based on what you told him. It also sounds like you need a good attorney. You already said too much before consulting counsel, who would have told you to say nothing without your attorney present. The police and DA's tell us that 95% of the people convict themselves while trying to 'help' or 'be cooperative'. Call if you want to discuss hiring an attorney before more gets admitted. 714-960-7584
