If you are offred a deal from the da on a drug case and do i have the right not to take the deal?

Of course you can reject the deal. There may or may not be a better deal. But you can always go to trial.
I agree with Mr. Shapiro. It is up to you whether or not to accept the deal.
Sure, either take the best deal you can negotiate, or go to trial with the risk of sentencing to the full term of the statute[s] charged if convicted. If you have an attorney, listen to his advice. If you don't then the old saying applies, "Confucius say, man who represent self has fool for client". If you don't know how to represent yourself effectively against an experienced prosecutor intending to convict, then hire an attorney who does, who will try to get a dismissal, charge reduction, diversion, programs, or other decent outcome through motions, plea bargain, or take it to trial if appropriate.
