Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Outstanding Warrant

I did not comply with the court(s) punishment because I was innocent of said charges: USE OF FORCE/VIOLENCE UPON PERSON, which was not true. I am applying for a position within the State of California, they will conduct a background check with finger printing. Will this show on the background check?

Re: Outstanding Warrant

If you "did not comply with the Court's punishment," and there is an outstanding arrest warrant, and you apply for a state position, someone will come and arrest you. Simple as that. You forfeited any claim of innocence when you pled guilty. You can tell your fellow inmates how innocent you really are. They will tell you the same.

Re: Outstanding Warrant

Of course it will. And once you have brought your location to the attention of the state, things may get dramatically worse for you.

Let me add that disagreeing with your conviction does not justify your failure to comply with the sentence. This is especially true in your case since, as you admitted in another question, you were convicted only after pleading guilty. A guilty plea means you are accepting not just the judgment but also the punishment.

Re: Outstanding Warrant

Duh. You will have an arrest warrant outstanding if you did not complete probation. Your application will provide them the address to come and arrest you. I suggest you hire counsel to help you deal with the court and the current problems you face. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.
