Paraphenalia charge (federal ticket)
I was given a paraphenlia tickets by marines.
my question is I was searched but had nothing on me, but my bag that was still in the car and had a twiced used glass tobacco pipe. the driver and passenger had marijuana in there possesion and were put under arrest but I wasnt. next thing I know im getting a federal ticket for Parephenlia.
what are my chances of fighting the cas???

What your chances are at fighting the case also depend on some other factors that you did not mention, such as how the stop and search occurred, and how the charges are filed, but in general, if you can establish that you did not have "possession, custody or control" over the pipe, i.e., that it was not yours, or that you did not have knowledge of it, then you may have a strong defense to fight the charge. You truly should seek a more detailed opinion from an attorney and get representation -- a federal criminal case against you is nothing to ignore.
