Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I have a Parole warrant in California but am living out of state. Also, I have a pending theft and fraud case against me. A detective called me this morning trying to ask me questions. I recently changed my number before today but he some how got a hold of it. My question is; since my cell phone bill is coming to the address I currently reside at, will he know where I live and my place of employment? And is it likely that he will notify local law enforcement of my whereabouts?

Yes to all the above.

To handle a felony warrant, you must return to CA to turn yourself in to the issuing court, and be personally present, with or without an attorney, at every court hearing and appearance.

In court, youll try to negotiate a recall of the warrant[s] and negotiate a plea bargain on any Failure to Appear charge. Youll try to negotiate bail reduction or OR release. Youll try to negotiate a plea bargain on any parole/probation violation that may have caused the warrant. Youll try to negotiate a plea bargain or take to trial the outstanding charge that caused the warrant. Effective plea-bargaining, using whatever legal defenses, facts and sympathies there may be, could possibly keep you out of jail/prison, or at least dramatically reduce it, and may enable you to get your probation and programs reinstated.

Unless you're competent to effectively represent yourself in court against a professional prosecutor trying to put you in jail, most people hire an attorney who can. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, feel free to contact me.
