Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Parolee stopped with drugs not belonging to him
he was pulled over by himself driving a friends car which had a purse with drugs that dont belong to him, the purse,car ,and ID of the owner of the car and purse were left behind and he was arrested, can he be charged with this

Yes. If he knew the drugs were there then he is guilty of possession. Possession is not the same thing as ownership, so the fact that the drugs "belonged" to someone else is beside the point.
