PC 503 is the Penal Code section for Embezzlement.

The bail amount is unusual, since it's not a round number like $50,000. They can set bail in the amount of the theft in some cases.

Felony embezzlement "is punishable in the

manner prescribed for theft of property of the value or kind embezzled". So, how much prison time depends upon what the charges are. If this is in SoCal, and if you're serious about hiring an attorney, feel free to contact me. Free advice: don't rush out to post bail with a bondsman, as that reduces what you have available to pay an attorney. Bail will be discussed at arraignment, and maybe reduced.
