Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

PC 245(a)(1), I filed a motion for expungement. Motion granted. do I need to get governors pardon to possess a firearm? the charges was 2002 and file the motion 2014.

Yes you would. Good luck, since there have only been a handful of pardons granted in the last couple decades, and then only for 'extraordinary' reasons to remedy a 'travesty of justice' such as a man having been proven innocent after serving years in prison. Thousands were applied for. What is your "extraordinary" reason? Just "I wanna" and "life is hard with a record" is not grounds. The penal code is meant to make life tough with a record. That is the dis-incentive intended to keep people from committing crimes.
