Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
If a person assaults me do I have to prove or have evidence to that affect and if I don't have the proof as far as witnesses, can I still make a case of it in court.

The burden of proof is on you. Otherwise you could just pick someone out of a crowd and allege the did 'something' to you.
