Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I plead guilty in CA to being under the influence of drugs. 1st time offender. My sentence was public work service. I didn't do it because I was using and living on the street, so a warrant was issued. I moved to my grandma's in Alabama to go clean. If I hire a lawyer in CA to represent me and request my hours be converted to a fine, what are my chances?

It's possible, not guaranteed. If you can show some actual evidence of your 'life change', and if the court is in Southern California, and if you are serious about doing so, feel free to contact me to discuss the facts and costs.
